Can you write your way out of this?
Seal the dark days away with a kiss
Let the frustration go in a sigh and a hiss

Can you start a new day?
One where shame can decay
And you can still love the gray

Will you write your way out of this?
Hold on to the ageless
When reality is airless

Will you start a new day?
Dismiss the dismay without delay
Believe in the gray and step through the doorway

Let the words be your guide
To release the regret inside
This is a little on the rough side, but it's rather personal piece.

So...rambling ahead. XD I'll keep it writing focused though, don't be too scared.

A year ago, I completely stopped writing prose for nearly a month after someone dear to me passed on.

I got back into writing to some degree for NaNoWriMo last year, but all in all, I've been tinkering with my writing style a lot over the last year. I've been making it a point to challenge myself with rhymed poetry and fixed forms while trying a lot of different things with prose writing. After reading Hamlet and doing this a lot: ‎( ╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I tried to do a really brusque style since I worried that I was getting too rambling, but it was crappy.

Lately, I've settled back into some comfortable styles for first and third person after messing with it a lot this summer. I've been putting a lot more thought into everything I write; for ten years, I spent most of the time writing off the top of my head with a loose plan for the overall plot and events. Lately, I've been putting more time into anything to really analyze all the dynamics of conversations, events, overall execution, and how different characters react differently to things to build up the story elements and emotional value of my work.

The good is that I feel it makes everything higher quality, though it takes longer. :<

Regardless, my classes start in a few days and I'm going to get myself on a tighter schedule with everything so I can still maintain quality while not being too slow with submissions like I have been this year.

And if you read all that, I really love you. XD

Either way, thanks for the support and everything over all these years on DA!

even though you said it may take longer but i think that the quality is most important the quantity
