Falling From Heavens Above

There was always that tale
Of a wish that would never ^fail

All you had to do was wish upon a star
As it burned at a _distance oh so ^far

But a wish can be naught by a whim
To which welcomes sorrow to brim

A wish can prelude the end
A day which no prayer can mend

Yet still there is a tale
Of a wish that would never _fail

Even when the wisher longs to recant
The star will still silently grant

The story is told without any heed
For there are always those misguidedly in need

An innocent light so bright in the ^sky
Can still bring about a tearful goodbye
